Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the Promo Firewall website, app, and related services provided by Inetis d.o.o. (a Slovenian limited liability company).
- Diagnostic tool: Promo Firewall identifies dangerous discount stacking combinations.
- Shopify billing: renewal, cancellation, and charges may be handled through Shopify billing systems and policies.
- Read-only scans: you remain responsible for deciding which discounts to modify or deactivate in Shopify.
- No guarantees: we do not guarantee that every dangerous stack will be detected or that margin loss will be prevented.
- As-is service: the Service is provided as-is, with limitations described below.
- Agreement required: if you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. What Promo Firewall does
Promo Firewall helps merchants identify dangerous discount stacking combinations that may erode margins, create unintended deep discounts, or allow customers to exploit promotions in ways the merchant never intended.
The Service scans your active discounts, tests all feasible stacking combinations against Shopify’s combinability rules, and produces a report with severity classifications and witness carts showing the exact exploit scenario.
2. What Promo Firewall does not do
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the Service:
- does not provide legal advice
- does not provide tax advice
- does not guarantee that all dangerous stacking scenarios will be detected
- does not guarantee prevention of margin loss or revenue impact
- does not automatically modify, disable, or delete your discounts
You remain responsible for reviewing scan results and deciding which discounts to modify or deactivate in Shopify.
3. Eligibility and account use
You may use the Service only if you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement and are authorized to act on behalf of the store you connect.
You are responsible for maintaining control of your Shopify admin access, ensuring your use complies with Shopify terms and applicable law, and all activity through your connected store/account.
4. App permissions and access
To scan for discount stacking risks, the Service accesses certain Shopify store data within the permissions granted during installation, including active discounts, discount combinability settings, and product/variant data needed to construct witness carts.
You authorize us to use that access solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Service in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
If required permissions are removed or restricted, some features may stop working.
5. Plans, pricing, and billing
Free plan
We offer a free plan that includes a limited number of scans with full severity reporting and witness cart details.
Paid plans (Pro)
Paid plans are tiered by product variant count and may include features such as:
- unlimited scans
- automatic re-scans when discounts change
- full scan history
Pricing, plan limits, and features may change over time. Current pricing is shown in-app or on the website at the time of purchase.
Billing and renewal
If you subscribe through Shopify billing, billing, renewal, cancellation, and charges may be processed through Shopify under Shopify’s billing systems and policies. Shopify billing is the source of truth for subscription state.
You are responsible for reviewing applicable billing terms in Shopify.
6. Cancellation and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and uninstall the app from Shopify.
We may suspend or terminate access (with or without notice) if:
- you violate these Terms
- your use creates security or operational risk
- required platform access is revoked
- required by law or platform policy
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (for example, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity) will survive.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- misuse the Service or interfere with its operation
- attempt unauthorized access to our systems
- reverse engineer the Service except where prohibited by law
- use the Service to violate law or third-party rights
- resell or reproduce the Service without permission
- submit malicious code, scripts, or automated abuse traffic
We reserve the right to rate-limit, suspend, or block abusive usage.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including software, branding, report format, scanning algorithms, and content (excluding your store data), is owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your internal business use, subject to these Terms.
You retain rights to your store data.
9. Feedback
If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use and incorporate that feedback without obligation to you.
10. Service availability and changes
We may modify, improve, or discontinue features at any time.
We aim for reliable operation, but we do not guarantee the Service will always be available, error-free, or compatible with all Shopify changes, themes, apps, or custom configurations.
Shopify platform changes may affect scan behavior or results.
11. Disclaimers
This section explains warranty limits and detection limitations to the maximum extent allowed by law.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the maximum extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- every dangerous discount stack will be detected
- every detected combination is the only stacking risk
- acting on scan results will guarantee margin protection or revenue outcomes
Promo Firewall is a diagnostic and scanning tool and not a substitute for your own testing and operational review of discount configurations.
12. Limitation of liability
This section limits our legal liability for claims related to the Service to the maximum extent allowed by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to the Service.
Our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed USD 100 (or equivalent local currency), to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
This section explains situations where you agree to cover claims and related costs arising from misuse or legal violations.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Inetis d.o.o. (a Slovenian limited liability company), its affiliates, and personnel from claims, liabilities, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- your use of the Service in violation of these Terms
- your violation of law
- your infringement of third-party rights
14. Governing law and disputes
This section explains which jurisdiction and court location apply to disputes, unless local law requires otherwise.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Slovenia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Celje, Slovenia, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the Last updated date.
Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
